An LGBTQ+ Living Archive of Newham.
A permanent home for Newham’s LGBTQ+ history.
A living archive that grows with our community. This is your invitation to be part of it.
We’re celebrating Newham’s LGBTQ+ community – from the 1950s to today. The pubs. The protests. The joy. The resistance. The people who made Newham home.
For decades, these stories have lived in memory – passed down in conversations, held in photo albums, kept safe by those who were there. Now, for the first time, they will have a permanent place in Newham’s official heritage collection.
